I actually think his selling of some shares is perfectly fine - especially given how long he has served SLX and its shareholders. (and he's only selling a few million dollars worth and less than 10% of his holding.....
and his compensation through the years has not been excessive imo.... I think his comp historically has been well structured (fairly low cash base comp (although it's quite high now at 500k) and not excessive options with strong alignment to shareholders - STIs tied to commercial milestones on GLE).... if only more listed co's boards would do the same....
there are many more listed companies on the ASX where senior management is taking the proverbial p$$$
