...and by selling a huge chunk of shares, the BOD undoubtedly would have triggered concern with many shareholders with the widely held belief that "directors selling shares" is usually a bad sign. On the other hand, the German's buying in was a very good sign. But the whole thing was badly handled at the time, the name of the 'strategic European investor" was withheld from the market for a while. I'd go as far as to say that the BOD tried to use the German investment as a cover for them selling down. They knew that even if the options went out of the money, they'd each be left with a big chunk of cash. The SP continued its sharp decline throughout the remainder of 2021.
