Don't forget the sales bonus pool. If this turns out to be the bank robbery JD claimed all those years ago, then the sales bonus pool will be very substantial. They're already guaranteed an enormous paycheck in the case it sells well. e.g. $4bn sell price equals $288m sales pool.

I don't think you'll find a single holder who believes that this is a 100% certainty (cats in the hat or w/e we're saying now). Why would we expect or want the directors to have this delusion? If it succeeds they get paid. If it fails well at least they didn't lose money.

If you were hoping they would share the same risk as us then I'm sad to inform you that we won't be sharing the same risk or reward as the directors.
