So much for a Plan A, B, C and D. If you put this 'offer' under the microscope it is looking exceedingly amateurish.
It would seem that the board, unable to extract the inherent value that would manifest in a higher share price, hand-balled that responsibility to a group of hyenas in Black Rock, which was their first mistake, and Black Rock in turn, showing absolutely no desire to extract and manifest, have in turn hand-balled to a desirous suitor in OZ, a willing ally. Could this be their second mistake? Given that OZ were not prepared to pay a price which would have seen AVB safely ensconced in a vehicle in need of fresh assets. It clearly isn't just retail that's peeved. The main players as far as I can tell are also peeved or they'd have sold out a long time ago.
