Other companies i have held in the past that have changed codes have just rolled over threads on Hot Copper. TNR are still on TNR while ASR are completely new with nothing mentioned of the past.
You go to ASX and search TNR and it doesn't exist anymore.
In my trading account, there is a headline only, not an announcement you can open saying changed asx code to ASR. The actual announcement is in ASR.
On my trade acct it says TNR is suspended, no explanation or announcement why really.
ASR is trading but not a single trade today yet - as no one knows it exists.
Any time i have seen a change in code, even when all the information rolls over, it has seen a pull back in price as it it traded down and pushed down. There was no need to change the code.
Why would you do it? To get rid of the past information and whingers and to make it harder for people to research about the company. Pretty happy i'm out at the moment i think.
