Actually kinda surprised they have gone from one dinosaur to the largest and oldest dinosaur. In the past i'd have expected a move to Boardroom or Automic given how they embrace technology in registry, although in my opinion they are both small and rubbish when it comes to anything else like corporate actions. Having experience in the registry area i don't believe cost savings will be behind the reason to change.
What is interesting is that CPU is the only Global share registry with a lot of experience in dual listings and large offices in USA, UK, Guernsey etc. all the places you'd want for global expansion or if you were looking to list on another exchange and transfer investor holdings offshore....
