I'm still of that opinion and as I have posted in previous posts, I've been active with the SP in the 7's. Don't seem to be getting much support with my comments, but that's okay. I have a plan and I feel that a mean reversion has already taken place with DDR. I'm expecting 'steady' growth over the years ahead in both capital appreciation and Yield.
As I have noted previously, A short term focus on a risk free rate as opposed to a long term focus on potential sustained growth that shares may offer can be risky. Maybe the opposite is also true. The DDR spot yield already matches the rate of inflation and since your post @ $7.77 - had you bought right there and then, you would've seen your invested capital appreciate by ~8%. Not too bad a place to park your cash. However, I don't necessarily totally disagree with your sentiments. Today is just one day. There's no reason that DDR or the market itself could retrace at any given moment.
I know exactly why I hold DDR and continue to buy on decent pullbacks. It serves a purpose in my portfolio and I simply love the fact that fundies don't like it and it's a stock where retail investors like myself and others can benefit greatly.
