I don't mind your ignorance but if coal was really that expensive, Why would countries like India and China continue to import coal from us to produce energy? China manufactures the PV panels and most of the components needed for the wind farms. Surely they could use it themselves rather than selling it back to us? They've had so much time to switch over but taking their time to do so. If it was that profitable you would think those countries would move over quite quickly right? I guess if it wasn't for world politics around climate change, renewables will still be sitting in the sand.
