The changes to the CSR board are positive moves. The reduction of directors from 8 to 5 is appropriate (given the company is smaller).
I would not put too much creedence on directors talking up their own book. When analysing the company prospects, one has to also consider a range of fundamental factors (both external and internal).
At this stage, I cannot see how the divestment of the sugar business has ultimately delivered such a positive outcome for shareholders. Since the share consolidation, shareholders have suffered a substantial diminution (about 30%) in the value of their already price-deflated shares.
It is imperative that a good final DIVIDEND be announced next week to restore value and confidence in this stock.
