Spot on every Hotcopper poster in this thread! The BOT can manipulate and paint a picture no matter how positive the announcement is. Kingsgate could find diamonds and double digit g/t for the quartz lease and the share price could still go down. It won’t go down if there is a buyback or dividend announced though. It takes the share price out of their control whilst simultaneously compelling the rest of the market to sit up and take notice that Kingsgate is back….and why isn’t it part of our managed fund portfolios?
I haven’t looked closely at the specific requirements for ESG portfolio inclusion (and wary of greenwashing), but we certainly seem to tick the S and G boxes. As for E, I am sure that it will be best practice and always would be, regardless of scrutiny. That comes from a BoD with integrity. This is a really positive outcome for everyone.
