The market will always value Aust gold operations two to three times higher than overseas mines as there's no perceived sovereign risk-the only risk is crazy State govts imposing insane royalty rates(eg Qld coal)-and Aust operators can pay franked dividends.
WAF definitely has sovereign risk with two long life mines in Burkina Faso, West Africa but they're on the way to producing over 480k ozs/pa by mid-2025 and are good operators but they seem to be adverse to paying dividends expecting shareholders to be happy with an increasing share price - I hold.
