Algo trading does give you a chance of buying low and maybe selling high and I can't object to that.
Pump and dumps fall into the same category in my book.
The only thing that I'm strenuously against are false bids in the line that particular software allow you to delete before they're 'hit' - the number of times I've put in a bid here for 10k and there's 10k showing for sale at that pricepoint and I end up getting only 2k - that should be illegal and ASX should outlaw/eliminate it otherwise they're complicit in a deliberate false trade.
