Featured in this morning’s Geelong Advertiser is an article about the Corio Bay Diary Group/Wattle Health Australia (WHA) joint venture milk processing/spray drying plant which is part of an AUD$55M giant milk facility currently under construction.

The spray dryer intended to produce organic milk power and organic infant formula, completely sourced and originated from Australia, is scheduled for completion in May/June 2020.  Commissioning is scheduled for June/July 2020 and up to 28 jobs will be created.

The plant is envisaged to employ within 2 years up to 40 people and it is planned during the 2^nd year to be running 3 shifts per day operating 24 hours continuously.

The size and scale of this large facility when completed will be a noticeable land mark in the industrial section of Corio.  The general Corio Bay, Geelong area is beginning to boom.  A number of technology companies, enterprises associated with Deakin University, projects such as the Corio Bay Dairy Group/Wattle Health, the locating of the head office of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and many other new age enterprises are rejuvenating the area.
