I think this horrible thing should be thought of as stock with a moat that will deliver income year in and out.
i smile when i read that sentence (the entire post really as so much truth both good and bad).
ASX hold 4 of the 7 money making settlement licenses in aussie. other markets, for example NSX, would not really exist except for the licenses held by ASX - NSX is not permitted to touch the punters money or the paperwork, it pays the ASX to do that on its behalf.
