Speculation could run wild...Maybe the POC data pack is done and he/the board feels that he is not the one to progress any deals.We are at the pointy end of what they have been working on and they really need to deliver something here and now.
Dr Hopkins might know in himself he would rather be a scientist and feels the business end of what they need on a commercialisation front might be out of his depth of what he wants to do.
Interested to see the next update.
