What you are saying is that you think the Chinese market will be more likely to try to copy it if it is patented there, and that it is less safe there than anywhere else? You don't think a patent can be searched from docs wherever it is patented? And that this is the way product development is done everywhere? You are really saying that no patent is safe? This might surprise you but this is how global IP has been preserved for quite a long time. Of course a patent that grants protection for a great idea is going to stimulate R&D. But that is not an altogether bad thing. That is how WBT got started.

I suggest that is an incorrect perspective. I also suggest that if you believe that, then the stock market, based around patented IP, is not a place where you are ever going to feel that your money is going to be safe - ever.

Recce has until at least 2035 to make money out of such a brilliantly innovative product in a whole lot of places. And nobody can copy it and legally sell it into any of these jurisdictions.
