I agree with your post only to some extent.
The SoS I know doesn't take on a company unless he's very confident in it. Pretty sure DG already owns more than 20m+ fully paid and about 25m options right now. So if he's not confident in AVL, he wouldn't have own/bought so much on the market.
There are good and bad offtake partners. Deals based on performance don't always guarantee the best partner(s).
I'm sure we will all find out whether Mastermines is worth the price soon enough when he's back from China.
Maybe also have a look at the share price pre-Mastermines appointment and compare it to now...
