Erm, the very reason VRX entered the silica sand market and dropped all other projects to specialise is because the demand for all grades of silica far outstrips supply. Sure, its not a rare mineral, but is is in very high demand in the high tech industries, as well as glass of all types, and foundry. Sounds like the US has brought a shopping list and is looking to lock in some guarantees on supply.
