You may or may not have gone through attached website below, but its worth checking in on here and there as they may make some changes which give us insights in what is going on with the trial. But it'll have technical details of the actual trial itself, and the answer in your question is pasted below.
Clinical trial details
"Patients receivechlorotoxin(EQ)-CD28-CD3zeta-CD19t-expressingCAR T-lymphocytes NCI SYs via dual delivery starting on day 0 for 3 weekly cycles over 28 days. Each treatment cycle begins with one or twoCAR Tcell infusions (one at each catheter site) and lasts for 1 week. Beginning 1 week after cycle 3, patients may continue withCAR Ttreatment per principal investigator and patient discretion. Treatment continues in the absence of disease progression or unacceptable toxicity."
In short, the patient will get at least 3 treatments and they may continue to treat the patient until there is disease progression or severe side-effects. The reason why they stop after disease progression is because it means the CAR T is no longer effective and a higher dose may be needed, so continuing with the current dose is not going to help. Unfortunately a patient can only participate once in a clinical trial, so they can't then go for a higher dose.
