there were two abstracts, one was on the trial results thus far. That was an astounding success in my eyes, but it’s still early days being a first readout in a phase 1 trial.
the abstract we were discussing in relation to CLTX binding to MMP2, was a separate one and focused on a more technical aspect of the technology which was a question nobody had been able to answer to date as it had never been used in humans, so it was all theoretical. But what they found from the first in human trial is that what most thought was the answer, didn’t appear to be the full answer. It may be related, but it appears there is something else that hasn’t quite been identified yet. this is likely to remain a mystery for many years until enough people pour funds and time into studying it.. we are the first to do it in humans, so we are pioneering this field of research. The point of putting this abstract out at the worlds largest neurology conference is to garner interest and hopefully help to find an answer.
For those not familiar with biotechs, it may sound strange. But this is common and especially in a new field such as CaR-T therapy, then using Chlorotoxin, which nobody has done before, there are going to be ongoing areas that need to be figured out over time.
also keep in mind this is a pretty newly listed ASX company, and the following and awareness is extremely low. So for now, you won’t get endless posts that sound like a Seinfeld episode (the show about nothing)… rather the discussion is so far succinct and free of ramping and down ramping … I’m actually enjoying the peace and quiet, but appreciate this is may be lost on some.
I’m sure if we keep generating results like this, the peace and quiet will be lost… but for now, I intend to enjoy it.
goodluck, and maybe try posing a question that relates to the trial or technology rather than , “is it a buy, hold or sell”. Firstly we can’t give advice, and secondly if you can’t make up your own mind with the information already available, you might be investing in something that you may not fully understand. Doing some independent research may give you more confidence to make up your own mind.
