Nyrada’s Dr Jasneet Parmar co-authored a recent research study published in Translational Stroke Research Journal with UNSW Scientia Professor Gary Housley, also Chair of Nyrada’s Scientific Advisory Board. The study has provided further proof-of-concept supporting the neuroprotection contribution of transient receptor potential channels (TRPC) ion channels, the target of Nyrada’s brain injury program. The study confirmed that animals that lack the TRPC ion channels are protected against brain injury and have small injury sizes compared to normal animals in a photothrombotic stroke model. This model will be used to study the efficacy of NYR-BI03, Nyrada’s neuroprotectant molecule, which blocks three key channels described in this paper (TRPC 3, 6, 7). The paper is accessible at https://bit.ly/3Dqdle9Dr Parmar will also be presenting on Nyrada’s brain injury program at the Military Health System Research Symposium this August 14-17th in Florida.Should you have any queries, please contact Dimitri Burshtein, Nyrada Investor Relations by email [email protected] or by telephone +61 2 9498 3390.Yours sincerely,David FranksCompany SecretaryNyrada Inc | ARBN 625401818
