most retail investors do not have a great idea how inflation and interest rates work, and what a global reserve currency is (US dollar currently).

we have a fascinating scenario where inflation is not picking up in consumer spending because of continual lockdowns but it is inflating the stock market and other assets like crypto and housing.

I assume most investors just aren’t analysing the risks inherent in the global debt market currently specifically the western world. The consensus seems to be lower interest rates means there can’t be defaults which logically sounds right but it doesn’t account for the devaluing of currencies and loss in cash flows started from the insolvencies we have already started seeing.
