Yeah there's nothing that rules out a new offer after the 9th.
announcement is just to scare people. All they've said is what we already know:
"Its Offer will not be extended and will close at 7.00pm (Sydney time), 9 March 2017"
The cant offer any more on this offer. Regardless of whether they offer or not the statement above would be true, if there was an upped offer it would be a new offer and therefore this one would not be extended and would end at that date.
Yeah there's nothing that rules out a new offer after the 9th....
