From SMH: The two regulators have very different aims: FIRB must ensure Australia’s critical infrastructure remains secure; the ACCC is charged will ensuring the acquisition does not unduly remove competition from the market.
I would have thought that CKI would have sounded this out to get some sort of guideline before spending 9 weeks (SMH quoted this) doing due diligence
