The Philippines is still not attracting much interest even though the mines ban was lifted. The dept is clearing up a lot of stale tenements and as it is at the moment there are only 3 Granted Exploration Permits in that entire Cordavilla Region on north Luzon there are a few still with appeals pending but many of the tenements that were there have been denied extensions etc. Just look at the plan could you imagine this in Australia. They are trying to attached the exploration companies back but its likely a case of once bitten twice shy. There are some 31 projects seeking money to develop but seems they are not getting knocked over in the rush. I read one has a potential Chinese backer but this may not go down well due to the tensions over those Islands in the South China Sea.
