Very good job in picking the difference up @reon1, but it is not necessarily a 'smoking gun' in any way.

Recce 327 has always been described as a formulated product comprising a mixtureof oligomers, i.e. this could indicate different 'chain lengths' or repeating units of similar monomers. These could be assemblies of structures that are straight, branched, circular, or having different numbers of functional groups hanging off them. Whatever it is that they are, the description indicates that the product is a mixture of these oligomers. The key to their success at what they do is probably in the composition of the mixture of the parts. So it is no surprise that some of these may be the components that are more responsible for doing the killing of the target organisms than others. So it is quite feasible that the company measures the concentration of the most potent one of these, or the most important in a particular mode of action, as being the best factor to track to define how effective the drug is as a whole. Whatever it was, the results they initially quoted were most pertinent to them even if they were not the same as the unit results we had been thinking in. That does not make them wrong or in error in any way. Unclear to us, yes. What is important is the pile of dead bugs at the end of the process.
