Seriously? You think MSD is moving the chess pieces around IMU around this supply agreement? Their drug has literally been in hundreds of trials with oncology businesses of all stripes, many of which they decided to supply product for and almost none of which they bought/licensed.

The main game for MSD is selling Pembro by the ton. It is their kingmaker product. Selling a trillion US$ of product takes a long time. Fighting off would-be competitors by getting combo approvals is a relatively low-cost way to extend their patent runway and protect margin. Hence their willingness to supply trials, but only under their strict confidentiality guidelines.

IMU is an exciting business. But a little perspective can go a long way.
