So I checked out Keytruda on the Merck site and here's the cost for off the shelf.
$10,474.00 if dosed at 200mg per 3 weeks
and $20,948 if dosed at 400mg every 6 weeks.
The number of doses may be different for each patient.
The site is very interesting reading for those wanting a better appreciation of how Keytruda works and on what cancer's and the possible side effects of the treatment.
I really feel for those needing the treatment and as perhaps many of you know someone who suffered with this indiscriminate disease, will see the potential brilliance of the work by Yuman Fong et al at Imugene, with the trials now at clinical stage.
