I think the issue is physical GOLD and its role in the future Global Economy, Investors are divided, The scary amount of speculation in CRYPTO stole a fair share from traditional safe havens during times of recession.
The crash of crypto and subsequent beleif in its invulnerability has slowed the flood away from gold and the realization a Global Depression is almost certain In my opinion has tested the will of those investors who may be thinking it's far to early to push Gold out altogether
I beleive it is only a matter of time until DIGITAL COINS are backed by Gold for business and national transactions (along with a basket of commodities) THEN a nations (paper and or digital) currency will be backed by it for local transactions. Im not the first to say this.
