Oil exploration is far more risky than taking over a dirt cheap Vanadium asset in South Africa, however I do agree that this asset should not be overlooked as it "could" be worth an absolute fortune if the resource can be proven. I personally would rather see a focus on Vanadium initially to generate capital and then look at a CR or JV partner for the oil exploration in the NT. As JB has already stated this asset is under review and I'm sure he will fully assess it's potential value to shareholders before any decisions are made on it's future. Based on todays announcement it's obvious for now this will remain on the back burner, but still a great asset to have in the back pocket.!
