I exited soon after reading Lynn's interview (which was after all the contractual non-compete and gag orders elapsed). Lynn complained about a few things (like no-fee diet advice etc.) for MVF clients and what management thought of it (AFR interview I recall).
The message I took was that MVF apply a 'cookie-cutter' approach, driven by profit and products/service offerings. That would be fine, except if your opposition is providing customised care. I would imagine that Lynn would of taken a fair chunk of the MVF business. As these doctors that are leaving are starting up straight away, they are able to take customers straight away (existing clients) and offer (and market) specialised treatment, differentiating themselves from MVF. I would imagine word of mouth would be everything in this industry.
Maybe the MVF way will work in other countries but I don't think Australia. Maybe MVF in Asia will boom and from there to other parts of the world?
