ABY (Nifty) is a dog at a mine level. The former owners were absolutely hopeless, why else would parent (Hindalco) sell out of a mine they had operational control over??? Who does that...no one! Management lined their pockets for years with fat salaries for poor performance and empty promises then the sink hole!
The big question going forward is can MLX do better operationally??
ABY had a massive sink hole event 3 years ago which almost wiped out company and has struggled since to be profitable. MLXers better hope the geotechnical events described are not another sink hole waiting to happen!
