- reasonable steps taken by a person to avoid committing a tort or offence.
- a comprehensive appraisal of a business undertaken by a prospective buyer, especially to establish its assets and liabilities and evaluate its commercial potential.
Maps can be misunderstood by persons not having the relevant experience of "map interpretation".
Without further explanation, share holders may think that the "diligence" was a bit slack.
