Personally I don't think you can compare the two. The fact that PEB has been working on developing its test and its commercialization of its products for 23 years does not mean it is dated. As I understood the short video news item about the British test it is merely indicating that it is able to identify that someone has cancer by testing a blood sample and therefore is perhaps useful for early detection IMHO. The PEB suite of tests is very specific for a test of bladder cancer for a patient presenting with blood discharge in the urine. The PEB test can either rule out cancer as being the cause or else confirm that bladder cancer is present as I understand it.
The English example still has a lot more testing and refinement to go which will take months, perhaps years before it might achieve recognition as being useful. Once again all IMHO.
