Clarification of University of Newcastle Whizzard deployment announcement
Linius Technologies Limited (ASX: LNU) (Linius or Company) wishes to clarify its announcement made to
ASX earlier today regarding the deployment of its Whizzard product with the University of Newcastle.
The contract with the University comprises an initial purchase of 10,000 subscriptions which the Company
does not consider to be material.
The contract includes incremental additional purchases over the term of the contract until site-wide
deployment is achieved, at agreed subscription and data pack pricing. While overall revenue is not
determinable at this time as it is subject to take up of the service and add-ons, the Company anticipates
that demand will be considerable which in turn will have a positive impact on revenue.
As stated in the earlier announcement, whilst the revenue from this contract is important to Linius, the
significance of the contract is that it demonstrates that demand for the Whizzard product exists and it
validates the Company’s ability to serve its target market, comprising of 43 Universities (including the TAFE
sector) and over 1 million students in Australia alone.1
