    natural graphite too variable compared to Synthetic

    Synthetic still cheap from China

    Synthetic graphite volume picking up pace in US while natural still lingering

    Tesla still relies on external suppliers for a majority of their battery supplies (Panasonic & LG)

    Tesla planning on increasing in-house battery development but due to performance measures are likely to use and are using Synthetic graphite

    As recently discovered with new 4680 batteries

    Cheap Tesla models have been pulled where natural graphite was expected to be used
