AFR's announcement regarding same clarification around Tesla qualification deadline.

Love how they frame it as Tesla "throwing us a lifeline" (out of the goodness of their hearts), when in reality they're addicted to cheap Chinese AAM and determined to keep gorging on it for as long as they can, until/if they're finally forced to buy non-FEOC graphite and AAM for use in Tesla's cars. Guarantee we would pass qualification tomorrow if they genuinely wanted to (instead of stalling to keep the option open while buying cheaper Chinese AAM for as long as possible).

Only way out of this mess is if Team USA is serious about saving/building its own EV/graphite/critical minerals supply chain - implements real policy to ensure Tesla and all US based OEMs buy from and support Team America. Otherwise it'll all be over and Team China will cement its grip on global supply, and can and will weaponise it at a time of their future choosing for maximum geo-political leverage.
