The US and Europe need to put on 900% tariffs or they'll always be dependant on China. They own the Gallois SA mine in Madagascar which has the biggest large flake reserves as well.
All China have to do is keep subsidising their own graphite and wait until investors stop propping up graphite companies then watch them all collapse. This scenario isn't too far away from happening unless the US and Europe act now. Investors need leadership, not constant waffle which is why American Active Anode Material Producers (AAAMP) have tried to force the issue with the investigations.
