I read somewhere the 700% tariffs, if implemented would add between $500 and $1000 to the end cost of the vehicle. To manufacturer’s, it’s a cost they wouldn’t want to have but IMO the consumer wouldn’t really see much of a difference even at the lower end (30-40,000 per vehicle). I agree, it should be market sensitive, they should have been open to discuss it last week at the AGM, there’s at least some doubt as to whether Vidalia is operating to the specs the company have been disclosing, it;s another pretty ordinary contract they agreed to (why give Tesla another 12 months to make up their mind on taking the material or not?) There’s still ex China graphite demand to come and the tariffs now really critical for SYR and Vidalia.
