As I mentioned before, I have compared images on RP Data and found in at least one sydney location, the RP Data image was actually a Nearmap image, shot in late 2012 from memory. and I would have made the comparison about two months ago, so that image was more than a year old.
Because it was a Nearmap image, RP Data likely have dealt with Nearmap for the purchase of their images, and Nearmap may have been commenting on those sold to RP Data, however RP Data may source their images from a variety of sources, not just Nearmap.
Regardless I think this property tool is quite impressive and hopefully should shake up this market, but the ASX release had a bit too much chest thumping for my taste as well.
I think they will be adding more revenue rather than losing it in any case, which should make for a business worth more money.
