Wide Open Agriculture (WOA) faced challenges before its focus on lupin protein. In April 2023, the company was
suspended from the ASX after failing to prove its funding claims. However, WOA has since acquired
Prolupin GmbH, a European lupin protein producer, to expand its commercial-scale manufacturing capabilities.
Regarding management changes, WOA has undergone some leadership shifts.
Elizabeth Brennan, a non-executive director, resigned from the board, and
Sam Wright, the company secretary, stepped down, with
Matthew Skinner replacing him. These changes align with WOA’s strategic shift toward plant-based protein opportunities.
