Based on the PEA estimates for a 10ktpa operation, I’m assuming that each additional 2ktpa “module” might cost around $25M (usd).
This includes ponds.
However, I also think that once the first 2ktpa module is in operation, there’ll be a FID to push straight through to expansion to 10ktpa.
This expectation is based on demand vs supply forecasts and the anticipated impacts on product pricing around that period (end of next year), when a decent lithium shortfall should be very problematic for battery makers everywhere.
At that stage, imo, it’ll be a no-brainer for someone to fund the expansion based on proven production capability and basic ROI assessment.
