Myself as a concentrated investor, I am disturbingly overweight CU6 (ignoring gain). I go drunkenmiller - hard and dump afterwards if need be - call me pigsy. Hence I haven't bought much on the way up. (I seek to be a long term investor.)
I suspect @Davisite may be a concentrated investor as well. (We are well aware of the Kelly criterion.) So here is an interesting graph on diversification and non-market risk. Risk% can propell portfolio in both directions.
Let's say non-income earning companies with low bank balances carry a lot more risk, and especially during mkt turbulance. Therefore CU6 is positioned well in this regard.
I certainly don't advocate concentrated investing for beginners - Let your education be well diversified with small $amounts. Don't get suckered into the "Lambo club" one stock punter club. Infact concentrated investing probably isn't the majority style at all. BTW Having few stocks because of time constraints is not concentrated investing.
