Nippy, I agree with you on one point at least - it is unfair that shareholders should ultimately pay for the "misdemeanours" of the company's directors, but that's how it works. I have experienced it from both sides. My participation in the class action was aimed at holding the BOD accountable for what they did (or failed to do), but unfortunately the shareholders become collateral damage.
