$250 mil was always a heavily over inflated estimate. If you break it down
- the peak market cap of the company in late 2014 early 2015 was around $465mil (sp at $3 and around 155mil shares)
- The founders own > 50% of shares
- Therefore even if the shareprice went to $0 (it didn't) and every single shareholder other than the founders was included in the class action (they aren't) then you still don't have a loss of $250mil - notwithstanding legal costs and other items that can get tacked on to a payout.
