A 1kg bar from the royal mint is actually 8mm x 53 mm x 118 mm = 50ml / 0.05 litres. Density of pure gold is 20.
That one in the photo looks like about 200 x 50 x 20, maybe 25mm thick - say 5-6kg or 150oz, allowing for a bit of impurity. Might be worth AUD 400-500k.
I'd be more concerned about the two comments "with a 75%...." what? purity?
and "only a portion of the bulk sample" sounds like a 'portion' could be 'most' - they might not get another bar if they've already used up all their ore and dont have money to mobilise a contractor or do a cutback.
