If you view the photos of the pit, it is obvious there are 5 meters of overburden over the mineralized layer, & that seems to only grade 6 grams a ton. So 5 meters have to be removed for no return. Didn't they claim to have the plant running? I have seen these Butchart tables used outdoors by small prospectors working creeks . Why do they feature small-scale procedures like this? Why didn't they wait till they had processed all the ore on the rom pad , then they could ascertain if it was worth processing it? Instead, they show gold specs in a pan.
