    This is a good article albeit old for an overall summary on graphite. Micro-crystalline is just another word for amorphous or small flake. It's just one of many factors to consider an economically viable mine.

    Impurities and the removal therein is something that generally comes hand in hand with finer flake resources. That said and and has been said here Talga and another of other groups have produced anode acceptable graphite inputs from these.

    In my view it looks like they considered that it was perhaps more amenable and easier to market for a different market. Now the graphite for anode material inputs has come a long way and there a major supply deficit people are revising old working and old met work. ITM themselves are finding cheaper and more environmentally friendly ways to process their campoona graphite.

    I think they're every chance of producing suitable anode material from Sugarloaf. If not then there plenty at lacroma and campoona.
