Does anyone else find it strange that CSS are so open, about the Nitrogen freezing benefits? I'm not doubting it's a great thing to have and improves the frozen product significantly - but what's to stop a competitor buying a Nitrogen freezer? Nothing other than opening their wallet - it's a "small moat" as they say.
I'm not a Marketing guy - and I like the 'Spencer Gulf uniqueness' aspect of their marketing plan - but I think it's strange that they're giving away one of their secrets, so readily. I'm sure there would be other ways to market this technology and the effect it has on the product "our special processing locks in the texture and flavour, it's like the fish has just jumped out of the sea and onto your plate" etc.
But saying "nitrogen freezing is so much better than conventional freezing" seems strange to me. Anyway, I'll stop whinging - it's too late now.
Overall, I'm very happy that CSS's turnaround is well on track.
