There is also the FIRB. Years ago Shell UK wanted to take over Woodside and Treasurer Costello would not approve it based on the "national significance" of the North West Shelf gas project.
I would like to think that our Pilgangoora project being potentially the largest hard rock Lithium project in the world is also of national significance and foreign companies will have to be content with shareholdings of less than 19.9% in accordance with our country's rules.
There's no escaping a multi national shareholder profile for PLS, but I would like to see the Boardroom remain in Australia.
Wishful thinking maybe, and I couldn't see the FIRB standing in the way of RIO or BHP, but selling it to the Chinese or Koreans? - not for me.
